Ours runs on a mirrorless camera with a wide 14mm lens and a real on-camera flash, so the photos hold up next to everything else on your guests' phones. It is handheld and battery powered, which makes it one of the few booths we recommend for outdoor events, and the flash means a pitch black room is not a problem. How It Works
Step 1 - We show up and start walking the room. It could be an entire stadium or it could be a ballroom. We're going to cover it end to end. There is no setup area and no footprint. Your photographer is working the room.
Step 2 - Guests pose wherever they are. They see themselves live on the 7-inch screen, we shoot, and the finished photo comes right back up on that same screen a second later.
Step 3 - They share it from the screen. Text, AirDrop, or email, right there in their hands. Add the print station and they can request a print at the same moment, then grab it about 30 seconds later.

What is a roaming photo booth?

What is the difference between a roaming photo booth and a regular photo booth?
A regular booth waits for guests to come to it. A roamer goes to them. That changes who participates. The guests who never leave their table, never get off the dance floor, or never notice the booth in the corner all end up in photos, because the photographer walks the room wall to wall.
What camera does the roaming photo booth use?
A mirrorless camera with a 14mm wide-angle lens and an on-camera flash, shot in manual by a photographer. Almost every roaming photo booth on the market is a tablet camera behind an LED ring light. That is the whole reason our photos look different in a dim ballroom.
How many people can fit in one photo?
We have fit more than 25 people in a single frame. The wide lens and the real flash are what make that possible. Most handheld booths max out around two or three people.
Does the roaming photo booth work outdoors?
Yes, and it is one of the few booths we recommend for outdoor events. Most photo booths need power, shelter, and a flat place to live. This one is handheld and battery powered, so there is nothing to plug in and nothing to tent. The onboard flash means it works after sunset, under a pavilion, or in a pitch black room just as well as it does in a lit ballroom.
How fast is it?
Our fastest pace is about one group every 45 seconds. Over a busy hour that lands between 50 and 60 groups. There is no line, so the real limit is how quickly groups flag us down, and a single frame can hold 25 people.
How do guests get their photos?
Straight off the roamer's touchscreen. Text, AirDrop, or email, chosen by the guest, delivered in seconds. Every photo also lands in a real-time online gallery your team can pull up during the event.
Do you need WiFi?
No. We bring our own internet. Venue WiFi is welcome and we will happily use it, but we do not depend on it. If signal drops mid-event, every photo queues and saves, then sends when we are back up. Nothing is lost.
Do you need power or an outlet?
No. The roamer is handheld and battery powered, and the print station runs on battery too. There is nothing to plug in, no extension cords, and nothing to hide.
Can guests get prints?
Yes, with the print station add-on. A guest requests a print right after their photo, we point them to the print station, and it comes out in about 30 seconds. Prints are unlimited. Standard size is 4x6, with 5x7 and 6x8 available. It is a professional dye-sublimation printer, not an inkjet.
Is the print station included?
No. The Roaming Photo Booth includes the roamer, the photographer, instant digital delivery, your custom overlay, and the final gallery. The print station is an add-on.
How much space does the print station need?
A cocktail table for the printer and a six-foot banquet table to set the prints out on, and no outlet. It runs unattended wherever you want it, and guests pick up their own prints.
Can we put our logo on the photos?
Yes. Every photo carries your custom frame or overlay, and your logo or your sponsor's logo can sit on the roamer's home screen that guests see before each session starts. If you add prints, the print carries the same design. There is no limit on what we can build.
How long do you book the roaming photo booth for?
Most events book three to four hours. Our minimum is two hours on a weekday and three hours on a weekend.
How many roamers do we need for a large event?
One roamer covers most events comfortably. Over about 300 guests we recommend a second roamer, or better, pairing the roamer with one of our other photo booths so guests get two different experiences instead of the same one twice.
When do we get the photos?
The gallery is live in real time. You can open it during the event, put it on a TV or a projector as a running slideshow, and download everything the same night. Every image gets a light edit.
Does the roaming photo booth do video, GIFs, or boomerangs?
No. This one is stills only, on purpose. The camera, the wide lens, and the flash are all set up to make one great photograph. If you want video or a looping clip, the Scribble Booth and the GIF Booth are built for exactly that.
Is a roaming photo booth the same as event photography?
No, and we do not pretend otherwise. This is a photo booth that moves. It is posed, guest-driven snapshots delivered instantly, not documentary coverage of your program, your decor, or your speakers. If you want both, book them both.
