What is a vintage photo booth?

Our Vintage Film Strip Booth is a modern open-air photo booth that prints 2x6 black and white film strips designed to look like a piece of developed negative, complete with sprocket holes and frame numbers. We serve Dallas, Fort Worth, and North Texas.
Is this a real antique photo booth?
No, and we would rather say so up front. A true antique booth develops prints with chemicals inside the cabinet. Almost nobody rents them, the few that exist are expensive and fragile, and they hand you exactly one strip per session. This is a modern booth with a mirrorless camera, studio lighting, and dye-sublimation printing. The vintage part is the print design.
Then why not just rent a real one?
If you can find one and the budget is there, they are wonderful machines. In practice they are rare, costly, slow, black and white only, and they break. This booth gives you the same look, prints in seconds, runs all night, and sends everyone a digital copy. If you want something genuinely vintage on site, our three restored VW buses are the real thing.
What do the prints look like?
2x6 strips with three to four poses running down the strip, framed to look like developed film: sprocket holes along the edges, frame numbers, and film edge markings. Small text areas at the top and bottom hold your event name, date, or logo.
Black and white or color?
Both are available. We recommend full black and white because it is what makes the film look work. A few vintage color filters are available if you want warmer strips. The treatment is set for the whole event, not chosen guest by guest.
How many prints does each guest get?
Every guest in the frame gets their own strip, and prints are unlimited for the length of your booking.
How many people fit in one strip?
Four to six comfortably. Eight to ten is possible if everyone is willing to get close.
How much space does the booth need?
8 x 8 feet.
Do you need an outlet?
No. The booth runs on its own power.
How long does each turn take?
About 30 to 40 seconds per group, which works out to roughly 60 to 90 guests an hour.
How long does setup take?
30 to 60 minutes to set up and about the same to break down. Book the booth for your full event window so neither happens in front of guests.
Can we put our logo on the strips?
Yes, in the small text areas at the top and bottom of the strip. We keep branding minimal here on purpose, because a large logo fights the vintage layout.
What backdrop comes with it?
A backdrop is included. For this look we recommend flat white or our textured white backdrop, which is what makes the strips read as film instead of as party photos.
Can the booth go outside?
It is an indoor booth. A covered or enclosed outdoor space can work with approval, but it needs real protection from wind, rain, and direct sun.
Do you bring props?
No props on this booth. The look works better without them, and props pull the strips toward novelty and away from the film aesthetic.
Do guests get digital copies?
Yes, by text and email, plus an online gallery after the event. The digital file carries the same film-strip design as the print.
Does it shoot video or GIFs?
No, this booth is stills only. If you want motion, look at the GIF Booth. If you want a signature video moment, the Scribble Booth is the one.
How long do we need to book it?
Two hours minimum on weekdays, three hours minimum on weekends.
